Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest Twelve Indian fishermen along with three Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters North West of Thalai-mannar and North of Delft Island on 04th January 2016.

Navy assists to arrest Muthurajawela oil spill
Sri Lanka Navy was able to minimize the environmental damage caused to the lagoon in Thaldiyawatte, Dikowita due to an oil spill that had occurred during the cleaning of a pipeline carrying oil to the Muthurajawela Oil Refinery Complex yesterday morning (31st December 2015).
