Annual concert of Gemunu Preschool held in a colourful note
 

The annual concert of Gemunu Preschool which is operated under the patronage of Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), organized under the guidance of honourable President of NSVU and supervision of Commander Western Naval Area with his spouse, was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama on last 26th November 2018.

Dakshina Preschool holds annual concert on colourful note
 

The annual concert of the Dakshina Preschool in Galle which is operated under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), organized under the guidance of honourable President of NSVU and the supervision of Commander Southern Naval Area with his spouse, was held on a colourful note at the auditorium of SLNS Nipuna in Boossa on 27th November 2018.

Financial assistance for celebration of ship’s day of Naval Establishments which SVU projects operated
 

According to a concept of the honourable president of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe, in view of expanding the welfare facilities for Naval personnel, NSVU had planned to donate a sum of Rs. 25,000/= to be used for the Ship’s Day celebrations of Naval establishments where SVU projects are being operated.

On concurrent with the World Children’s Day and Elders’ Day which fell on 1st of October, Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a series of programme, under the guidance of its president Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe.

Inmates of National Institute of Mental Health, Mulleriyawa enthralled by the visit of NSVU
 

As part of yet another community service campaign of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), the President of NSVU, Mrs. Sandya Ranasinghe along with its members took time off to visit and spend time with the patients who are undergoing treatment at ward no-7 at National Institute of Mental Health in Mulleriyawa on 22nd August 2018.

Boodhi Pooja rituals at Bellanvila Rajamaha Viharaya
 

In view of evoking blessings to the proposed new projects of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, to wish goodwill for the disabled war heroes and to bestow merits upon the war heroes who sacrificed their lives during the war, a Boodhi Pooja was held at Bellanvila Rajamaha Viharaya with the guidance of the honourable President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe, under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent, on last 21st July.

The foundation stone for new building of the Yoghurt Project at SLNS Pandukabhya in Poonawa, was laid by the honourable President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe, at the project premises on 15th July.

A function to bid farewell to the former Vice President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Thamara Rosayro was held under the patronage of its President, Mrs. Sandya Ranasinghe at the Malima Club House – Uswetakeiyawa on 12th July.

14 naval war heroes receive interest free loans for semi – constructed houses
 

In recognition of the supreme sacrifice made by war heroes and those who left disabled during the humanitarian operation, the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry of Defence provided a total of Rs. 4,200,000 to be distributed among 14 disabled naval war heroes (Rs. 300,000 each), under its project of the provision of interest free loan for semi – constructed houses.
