Navy Seva Vanitha social responsibility initiatives provide RO plant to village of Bakmeegahawatta
At the invitation of the President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne declared open a Reverse Osmosis plant at the village of Bakmeegahawatta on 10th October 2021. As an extension of NSVU social responsibility initiatives, the new facility was made available at No. 141 Bakmeegahawatta Grama Niladhari Division of Mahawa Divisional Secretariat.

Foundation stone laid for NSVU Pre-school and Day Care Centre at SLNS Barana
President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne on 10th October 2021 laid a foundation stone for a new Pre-school and Day Care Centre building at SLNS Barana, in a ceremony presided over by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.

Seva Vanitha sponsored RO plant declared open in Karuwalagaswewa, Puttalam
The Reverse Osmosis plant installed at the Rajavigama Siri Sambuddha Galapitagala Temple in Karuwalagaswewa, Puttalam was declared open under the patronage of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and the President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne on 09th October 2021. As part of its social responsibility initiative, the NSVU sponsored for this project which was carried out using able manpower of the Navy. At the request of the Deputy Chief Sanghanayake of the North Central Province, Ven. Panvila Gunarathana Nayaka Thero, the facility was made available at the temple by the Navy, for the benefit of community in surrounding villages.
