Softball Cricket tournament at Colombo for entertainment of children in naval families
A softball cricket tournament including other recreational activities organized for the entertainment of children in school vacation, under the guidance of the honourable President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi was held with the participation of the President NSVU, at the Cricket ground of Naval Institute of Technology, Welisara from 0900-1400 hrs on 29th December 2019.

A community welfare programme by Navy Seva Vanitha Unit
As a welfare donation, under the guidance of the honourable President of NSVU, a sum of Rs.500000/= was donated by NSVU to Able Seaman WGDS Bandara XS 105447 who is in the active service, for constructing a new house. The donation was handed over by the honourable President of NSVU on 19th December 2019. Further, on the same day, school equipment and stationary required for the children of the Engineering Technician 1 who sacrificed his life for the motherland in action, were donated by the honourable President of NSVU.

‘Piyawarak heta’ arts and handcrafts exhibition commences in Colombo
‘Piyawarak Heta’, an initiative by the Director and staff of Senehasa Education, Resource, Research and Information Centre to showcase the creative abilities of the differently able children being educated by the centre, was inaugurated by the President of Navy Seva Wanitha Unit Mrs Arundathi Udithamala Jayaneththi on the 03rd December.
