Naval troops attached to SLN Dockyard of the Eastern Naval Command arrested eleven persons and 03 FGDs engaged in illegal fishing using prohibited fishing gear in the seas off Norway Island in Trincomalee on 21st May 2014.

Navy arrests 03 persons with 800 kilograms of conch shells
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Gajaba of the North-Central Naval Command on information received arrested 03 persons with of 800 kilograms of conch shells in the general area of Vankalapadu in Thalaimannar on 21st May 2014.
