Navy seizes about 120kg of Kerala cannabis in Mannar seas
The Navy seized a dinghy carrying a stock of Kerala cannabis weighing about 120kg, during a patrol conducted in the seas south of Mannar on 15th April 2020. Three (03) suspects in connection to the smuggling of cannabis were also taken into naval custody.

Batch of 100 in Nagalangama and Wellaweediya sent to quarantine.
After having identified another 100 persons who were potentially exposed to the individuals previously taken into naval custody in Suduwella area, the Navy sent them to the Naval Quarantine Center located at Sri Lanka Navy Marine’s HQ in Sampoor, Trincomalee today (15th April 2020). The new batch of people were found from Gunasinghapura, Wellaweediya, Grandpass and Nagalangama areas.
