Navy commences operation to repair and clear two bridges in Matara
 

In the aftermath of the adverse weather and flood havoc, a number of damages have been inflicted on bridges in 2 localities of Matara district. Rising swiftly to the contingency situation, the Navy directed several teams of Special Boat Squadron (SBS) and Marine personnel to address these eventualities.

Navy in full swing to remove debris clogged in Pitabeddara bridge
 

Navy personnel are currently engaged in a mission for the removal of debris clogged in Pitabeddara bridge, Matara District. The bridge which combines Pitabeddara and Siyambalagoda Rotumba, Pasgoda has been congested with debris and wooden logs, from underside, as a result of the flash floods and hampered the downstream of water.

A team of naval personnel is currently engaging in a mission for the removal of debris clogged in Wakwella bridge at Baddegama, Galle District. The bridge which joins Poddala and Thelikada has been congested with debris including wooden logs as a result of the flash floods and hampered the downstream of water.
