Navy nabs a person for illegal transportation of fish
On receipt of information, naval personnel attached to Eastern Naval Command apprehended a person who was transferring 300 Kgs of fish caught by illegal fishing practices, during a raid carried out in coordination with Trincomalee Police and officials from Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, yesterday (24 January).

Eight Indian fishermen apprehended for poaching
Naval personnel onboard a Fast Gun Boat and a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, on routine patrol, apprehended 08 Indian fishermen along with two fishing trawlers for poaching in the Sri Lankan territorial waters North-west of the Delft Island, yesterday (24 January).

Eight persons engaged in illegal acts apprehended by Navy
Navy apprehended 8 persons engaged in illegal acts at several locations in the island during past few days. Accordingly, a person for possessing intoxicating drugs, a suspect with satinwood timber, 4 persons engaged in illegal fishing and another 2 persons with methamphetamine drug were held by the Navy.
