The ‘Hadawathe Handa’ social care foundation and the association of ‘Sathya Gaweshakayo’ donated a stock of face masks to the Navy, in support of the Navy’s efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus. Accordingly, this donation was made at the Naval Headquarters on 10th June 2020.

Fifteen (15) inmates who were undergoing quarantine period in Naval quarantine centers at Boossa Naval Base and at Kalpitiya area, left the centers after completion of their quarantine process, on 09th and 10th June 2020.

The Navy apprehended 15 persons who were engaging in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets, during patrols conducted in the sea areas off Kumburupiddi and Erakkandi on 08th and 09th June 2020.
Another forty five (45) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospital, were discharged from the hospital being tested negative to COVID-19, on 09th June 2020.
A person with a stock of fish caught using dynamite, was apprehended during a search operation conducted by Navy in coordination with Assistant Directorate of Fisheries-Jaffna, in Kakathivu area, on 08th June 2020.

The Navy launched another beach clean-up programme today (09th June 2020) centered around the Galle Face Green, in view of protecting and preserving the pristine beaches of the island.
Six (06) Indians who were staying in Sri Lanka violating the visa regulations, were apprehended by the Navy at the Kurikadduwan jetty in Jaffna on 08th June 2020.
The Navy apprehended a person with a cache of explosive used for illegal fishing, during a patrol conducted at Jinnapuram area in Pulmodai on 08th June 2020.
With completion of their quarantine process another 16 persons left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, on 08th and 09th June 2020.
The Navy managed to apprehend a person with a stock of illegal cigarettes, during a search carried out with the Police in Poruthota area, Negombo on 08th June 2020.
