Commanding Officer of USS ‘Rushmore’ calls on Commander Western Naval Area
A group of officers headed by Commander RC Tryan, the Commanding Officer of the US Naval vessel ‘Rushmore’ which arrived in the island on 21st December, called on Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Western Naval Headquarters yesterday (22nd December).

Navy springs into action to rescue flood victims in Northern Province
Following the directives of the Office of Chief of Defence Staff and based on information from the Disaster Management Centre, naval personnel are currently engaged in relief and rescue missions in the districts of Mullaitivu and Killnochchi which are worst affected by the inclement weather condition.

Seven (07) Indian trawlers released from Sri Lankan custody
