Three Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan territorial waters
A Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command arrested 3 Indian fishermen along with a fishing trawler for poaching in the Sri Lankan territorial waters, about 13 nm northwest of the Delft Island last night (July, 24).

Six suspects including two foreigners apprehended for engaging in spearfishing
On receipt of intelligence information to the Navy, Coast Guard personnel attached to the Southern Naval Command in coordination with Tissamaharama Police arrested 6 suspects including 2 foreigners for engaging in spearfishing for recreation yesterday (July, 23).

JMSDF ships leave Colombo harbour on completion of successful tour
The Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships; Izumo and Sazanami which arrived in Sri Lanka on goodwill visit on 20th July, set sail for the return journey from the Colombo harbour today (July 23), on successful completion of their tour. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship in accordance with naval traditions, on their departure.
