Navy divers recover a cache of gunnery items form Arugambay lagoon
 

On receipt of information, a group of Navy divers attached to the Southeastern Naval Command carried out an underwater search operation and recovered a cache of gunnery items from the lagoon area of Arugmbay yesterday (02nd October).

Commander Escort Flotilla Four of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Rear Admiral Tatsuya Fukuda along with the Commanding Officers of JMSDF ships ‘Kaga’ and ‘Inazuma’, Captain Hideki Mizuta and Commander Yuki Ochimizu, who arrived in Sri Lanka on 30th September, called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters yesterday (01st October).
