A Reverse Osmosis plant is declared open in Eppawala

Implementing yet another community service programme of the Sri Lanka Navy, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was installed in the school premises of Sri Siddhartha Central College in Eppawala, Anuradhapura, considering the intolerable levels of hardship faced by the students of the school and residents in the area. Accordingly the newly installed RO system was declared open by Commander North Central Naval Area, Commodore Merril Wickramasinghe today (26).

On receipt of intelligence, a group of naval personnel attached to SLNS Gotabaya in Mullaitivu belonging to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Mulathivu Police arrested 77.5 kg of Kerala Cannabis while being transferred in a three-wheeler in the coastal area of Ambalampokkane in Pudukurippu yesterday (23).
