Navy apprehends local fishermen for harvesting sea cucumbers without license
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Welusumana located in Mandativu in Northern Naval Command managed to apprehend 2 local fishermen for harvesting sea cucumbers in the seas off Kalmunai Point and Mandativu Island yesterday (22). During the arrest 7 sea cucumbers, 2 pairs of diving fins and 2 diving masks were taken into custody.
