India releases five Sri Lankan fishermen with the assistance of Sri Lanka Navy, Coast Guard and Indian Coast Guard
 

Five (05) Sri Lankan fishermen arrested by the Indian Coast Guard for trespassing into the Indian territorial waters, were released form Indian custody with the assistance of Sri Lanka Navy and Coast Guard Department today (15 May).

Twenty eight (28) persons apprehended for engaging in illegal activities
 

Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 28 persons engaged in illegal acts at several locations in the island during the past few days. These suspects were held for engaging in illegal fishing.

Three (03) Naval Dental lady officers belong to the 02/2017 Direct Entry Intake and Six (06) Service Entry candidates of 01/ 2017 intakes were commissioned at a colourful passing out ceremony held at the main parade ground of the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee on 11th May 2018 on completion of their training.
