Two (02) Royal Australian Navy ships depart from Trincomalee harbour on completion of their training visit

Two of the four Royal Australian Navy (RAN) ships - HMAS ‘Success’ and HMAS ‘Parramatta’,which arrived in Sri Lanka as part of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019, departed from the Trincomalee harbour on successful completion of their training visit on 27th March.

Navy apprehends two persons for fishing with explosive

Two persons who engaged in illegal fishing by using explosive (Dynamite) were apprehended by a troop of Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command during a patrol carried out at the seas off Norway island in Trincomalee, yesterday (26th March).

A group of naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command, during a patrol conducted in the sea area of Baththalangunduwa, Kalpitiya yesterday (28th March), arrested 02 persons engaged in fishing activities without valid passes.

Commander of the Navy pays an inspection visit onboard SLNS ‘Sagara’ at LIMA-2019 in Malaysia

SLNS Sagara which left Trincomalee harbour on 19th March for Malaysia to participate in the International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA)-2019, reached to Langkawi island on 25th March and she was warmly welcomed by Malaysian Navy in accordance with naval traditions.

The Royal Australian Navy ship HMAS ‘Canberra’ arrived in Sri Lanka on 23rd March in view of strengthening the cooperation on maritime affairs under the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019. Meanwhile, a group of personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy visited the ship berthed at the port of Colombo yesterday (26th March).
