Marking a major milestone in Sri Lankan military history, over 400 medical and dental officers of the three armed forces combined to establish Sri Lanka College of Military Medicine (SLCOMM) at the inaugural general meeting convened on Friday the 18th March.

Navy arrests seven fishermen engaged in illegal harvesting of sea cucumbers
On receipt of information, naval personnel attached to SLNS Buwaneka in North Central Naval Command arrested 7 fishermen who engaged in illegal harvesting of sea cucumbers in the seas off Nachchikuda on 14th March 2016.

On receipt of information naval personnel attached to SLNS Therapuththa located in North Western Naval Command recovered 187 kilograms of Kerrala Cannabis concealed under a scrub near a fishing hamlet in Silawathurai, today (15).

Navy beat Police in the Clifford Cup Rugby Quarter-Finals
Navy Sports Club secured their semi-final position when they beat Police Sports Club by 19 points (2 tries and 3 penalties) to 10 points (1 try, 1 conversion and 1 penalty) in the Clifford Cup Knock-out Rugby Tournament fourth-quarter final match played at the Race Course in Reid Avenue on 14th March 2016.
