The Iranian naval ships; Bushehr, Lavan and Bayandore arrived at the port of Colombo on a training and goodwill visit today (15th February).

Navy apprehends a person with 2 kg of KG
On information received by the Navy, a troop of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command searched a person who was riding his motor bike along the road in front of the main gate of SLNS Kanchadewa, yesterday (14 February). While searching, 2 kg of Kerala Cannabis hidden in the person’s bag and a sum of Rs 4,610 were recovered.

Navy arrest an Indian immigrant in Talaimannar
Naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command held an Indian national in Urumalei area, Talaimannar today (14th February). Further, 1200mg of Kerala cannabis, a mobile phone, 02 SIM cards, 03 passport size photographs, 20 Indian rupees and 200 Sri Lankan rupees have also been found in his possession.

Two persons held by Navy for illegal fishing
Two persons who engaged in illegal fishing with banned nets were nabbed in a raid carried out in Madattan beach area, Kappalthurai by a troop of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with China Bay Police, yesterday (12 February). A banned net 250m in length and a canoe used by them have also been taken into naval custody there.
