Navy rescues a group of distressed Indian fishermen at sea
Sri Lanka Navy has commenced a dedicated rescue mission to locate a group of distressed Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan territorial waters. Eight (08) fishermen have been rescued as of now and the Navy is continuing a search operation in the sea area further.

In response to the information given by Chilaw Police about a fisherman who had gone missing at Galihena lagoon in Chilaw yesterday (11 January), Sri Lanka Navy dispatched a team comprised of six (06) navy divers to the location.
