FOCWF and visiting IN ships’ Commanding Officers call on the Commander of the Navy

Six persons arrested for illegal fishing
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya in Kalpitiya arrested six persons along with two Fiber Glass Dinghies and two fishing nets (Surukku) in the seas between Baththalangunduwa and ‘K’ point whilst engaged in illegal fishing on 18th January 2016.

Navy repairs Reverse Osmosis Plant at Janakapura Vidyalaya
In response to a request made by the Presidential Task Force for Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease, the Sri Lanka Navy effected repairs to a malfunctioned Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO Plant) at Mu/Janakapura Vidyalaya in Janakapura, Weli Oya, enabling the students to have clean and safe drinking water.
