Commander of the Navy declares open new swimming pool at SLNS Mahanaga

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva declared open the new swimming pool at SLNS Mahanaga in Southeastern Naval Command on 04^th July 2020.

For being a long-felt need for naval personnel in the Southeastern Naval Command, the swimming pool was built utilizing the manpower of the Navy's Civil Engineering Department and with naval funds. The opening ceremony was followed by a spectacular swimming competition where the Commander of the Navy gave away prizes to those who took part in.

Director General Operations, Director General Civil Engineering, Director General Electrical and Electronic, Commander Southeastern Naval Area, officers and sailors attached to the command were also present on this occasion.
