Navy rescues two fishermen distressed in seas

Two fishermen who distressed in the seas off Mannar due to stranding their fishing craft between the sand banks, were rescued by a group of naval personnel attached to North central Naval Command, today (14th March).

Five (05) persons apprehended by Navy for illegal fishing

A group of Naval personnel attached to the North Western Naval Command, apprehended five persons who engaged in illegal fishing without valid fishing passes and using banned nets, during a patrol carried out in Rodapadu area, yesterday (13th March).
