SLNS Buwaneka proudly celebrates its 07^th anniversary

The 07^th anniversary of SLNS Buwaneka located in Nachchikuda fell on yesterday (12^th March 2019) and a series of programmes were conducted by the crew of SLNS Barana under the guidance of Commanding Officer Commander(H) Nadith Walpola in view of the anniversary celebrations.

Accordingly, the Commanding Officer made the inspection of divisions in accordance with naval traditions and addressed the crew. A mango sapling was also planted by him in the base premises in memory of the anniversary. The anniversary celebrations concluded with the participation of all officers, sailors and civil servants in the traditional dinner known as Barakana.
