Children of naval families receive scholarships for their academic excellence
The second phase of awarding scholarships to the children of naval families, who passed the grade 5 scholarship examination held in 2018, with flying colours, was held under the auspices of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium at SLNS Parakrama today (27th February).

US delegation visits Hambantota harbour
A delegation headed by the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ms. Alaina Teplitz made an inspection visit to the Hambantota harbour premises today (27th February). During the visit, Ms. Teplitz also met the Officer in Charge at the Naval Deployment of Hambantota, Commodore Ashoka Wijesiriwardana.
