US delegation visits Hambantota harbour

A delegation headed by the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ms. Alaina Teplitz made an inspection visit to the Hambantota harbour premises today (27^th February). During the visit, Ms. Teplitz also met the Officer in Charge at the Naval Deployment of Hambantota, Commodore Ashoka Wijesiriwardana.

They held a cordial discussion on several matters of bilateral importance and exchanged mementoes to mark the importance of the visit. The occasion was also attended by Head of Security at the Hambantota harbour, Rear Admiral, Jayantha Silva (Retd.) and Defence Attaché of the US Embassy in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Douglas C. Hess.
