Navy assists to recover a stock of sand mined without permits
A troop of Naval Marine Force attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Sri Lanka Police and the officials of Sri Lanka Geological Survey and Mining Bureau recovered a stock of sand mined without permits during a raid carried out at Thippansetti area in Periya Kinniya, today (20 February).

A haul of explosive recovered by a Naval raid
A group of Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command recovered a dinghy filled with fish which were caught by using explosive, during a patrol carried out at Thuduwa area in Pulmuddai, yesterday (19 February). The suspects had escaped leaving this dinghy with the fish catch.

SLNS ‘Sayurala’ joins IDEX – 2019 in Abu Dhabi
After successful completion of the naval exercise AMAN-2019 held from 08th to 14th February in Karachi, Pakistan, SLNS ‘Sayurala’ arrived at the port of Mina Zayid in Abu Dhabi on 16th February, to attend the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) – 2019.

Navy apprehends fish caught with explosive
A team of Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command recovered a haul of fish caught using explosive and a dinghy, during a patrol carried out at Thuduwa beach area in Pulmuddai , yesterday (19 February). It is suspected that the persons involved have escaped leaving the fish in the dinghy.

Sayurala showcases Sri Lankan food culture at AMAN Food Festival - 2019
Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sayurala which was in Karachchi, Pakistan attending the naval exercise AMAN 2019 from 08th to 14th February, also took part in the Food Festival held on 10th February, on the sidelines of the main event.
