Captain (H) Sujeewa Weerasuriya assumes duties as Commanding Officer of SLNS Shakthi

Captain (H) Sujeewa Weerasuriya yesterday (14th February) assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Landing Ship Tank, SLNS Shakthi.

The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain (C) Buddika Liyanagamge officially handed over the duties to the new Commanding Officer at the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee. Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Ananda Guruge was also present on the occasion. With an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer, the proceedings of the occasion concluded.
