Navy celebrates World Wetlands Day
World Wetlands Day is celebrated on 2nd February every year to raise global awareness about the value of wetlands for humanity and the planet. It also marks the date of adoption of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands in 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar. This year's theme of World Wetlands Day is ‘Wetlands and Climate Change’.

Outbound training programme conducted in Northern Naval Command
The Mental Health Unit and Operations Department of Northern Naval Command collaboratively conducted an outbound training programme under the patronage of Commander Northern Naval Area Merril Wickramasinghe at SLNS Uththara on 19th January 2019.
