CONEX 19 concludes on successful note
The Colombo Naval Exercise 2019 (CONEX 19) organized by the Sri Lanka Navy came to a successful end today (29th January), after achieving the desired outcomes of this joint exercise.

Navy continues operations to fight sand mining rackets
Going by the directives of H.E. the President and Chairman Geological Survey and Mines Bureau, initiatives have been undertaken to prevent illegal sand excavation and related activities on the banks of Mahaweli River, in close coordination with the Navy.
