The inspection of divisions at the annual camp of the Sri Lanka Volunteer Naval Force (VNF) was held at the VNF Headquarters in Welisara today (18 January) in the presence of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe.

Three Indian fishermen who were engaging in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters off South of Mannar were nabbed along with their Dhow by a Coastal Petrol Craft attached to the North Central Naval Command, yesterday (17 January ).

Person held for possessing counterfeit money
On receipt of information to the Navy, a group of naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command in coordination with officials of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Colombo nabbed a suspect for possessing counterfeit money, during a raid conducted in Horana on 16 January.
