Commanding Officer of FNS Auvergne calls on Commander of the Navy
Captain Xavier Breitel, the Commanding Officer of the French Naval Ship (FNS) ‘Auvergne’ which arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit yesterday (03 December), called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo today.

The Commanding Officer of the French Naval Ship (FNS) ‘Auvergne’, Captain Xavier Breitel met with the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle at the Western Naval Command Headquarters today (December 04). The French Naval Ship ‘Auvergne’ arrived at the port of Colombo on a goodwill visit yesterday.

Twenty three persons engaged in illegal acts apprehended by Navy
Navy apprehended 23 persons engaged in illegal acts at several locations in island in the past few days. Accordingly, 3 persons for possessing Kerala cannabis, a persons for possessing intoxicating drugs, a person for keeping counterfeit money, a person with heroin, 2 suspects for fishing dolphins, 2 racketeers with sandalwood logs and 13 persons engaged in illegal fishing were taken into naval custody.
