Commander of the Navy calls on Commander of the Army
 

Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe who assumed duties as the 22nd Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Army Headquarters in Colombo today (06th November 2017). Vice Admiral Ranasinghe was accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival which also marked the first official meeting with the Army Commander after assumption of duties.

The Commander of the Army conveyed his best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe on his new appointment and they held a cordial discussion on wide ranging matters important to both organizations. The Navy Commander left his remarks in the visitor’s book prior to the exchange of mementoes symbolizing the comradeship and goodwill. Director Generals of the Sri Lanka Army and several senior officers attached to the Army Headquarters were present on this occasion.
