Navy Commander visits Northern Naval Command
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah made an inspection visit to the Northern Naval Command today (20 October 2017). He was warmly received by the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha de Silva.

Sri Lanka Navy hands over 6 more fishing trawlers back to India
On completion of repair work, the Sri Lanka Navy handed over 6 more Indian fishing trawlers back to India today (20 October 2017). They had been seized by the Sri Lanka Navy for poaching in the Sri Lankan territorial waters.

Sri Lanka Navy volleyball team competed in a friendly volleyball match with the crew members of the Indonesian Naval Ship, Kri Bung Tomo which arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (19 October) on a goodwill visit.
