A person apprehended for fishing lobsters by illegal means
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Thambapanni located in Puttalam in the Northwestern Naval Command together with the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource, Chilaw apprehended a person engaged in illegal fishing of lobsters in the general are of Muthupanthiya yesterday (17).

Navy assists to nab illegal tree fellers
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Barana located in Mullikulam in Northwestern Naval Command, yesterday (17) assisted the officials of the Forest Department and Silawathura Police to raid an illegal tree felling activity carried out in Karadakkuliya area.
