A Reverse Osmosis plant is declared open in Eppawala
Implementing yet another community service programme of the Sri Lanka Navy, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was installed in the school premises of Sri Siddhartha Central College in Eppawala, Anuradhapura, considering the intolerable levels of hardship faced by the students of the school and residents in the area. Accordingly the newly installed RO system was declared open by Commander North Central Naval Area, Commodore Merril Wickramasinghe today (26).

Navy and Police apprehends 89 kg of Kerala Cannabis
Naval personnel attached to the Naval Deployment Vettalakerni in the Northern Naval Command, and Maradankerni Police personal seized 89 kg of Kerala Cannabis, packed in 4 separate packages and hidden in the general area of Maradankerni Today (26).
