Navy arrests 10 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing using unauthorized nets
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Gajaba located in Thalvupadu in North Central Naval Command, arrested 2 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing practices in the seas off Thalpadu yesterday (26). Along with the suspects 2 dinghies and a monofilament net used for fishing were taken into naval custody.

Navy nabs a person with 30 kg of Kerala Cannabis
A group of naval personnel attached to SLNS Uththara in Kankesanthurai, SLNS Kanchadewa in Kytes and SLNS Welusumana in Mandativu managed to seize 30 kg of Kerala Cannabis during raids carried out at two separate locations in Chavakachcheri.
