Naval personnel attached to SLNS Kanchadeewa located in Kayts in the Northern Naval Command apprehended two persons, with 33 kg of Kerala Cannabis in their possession, in the general area of Iyakachchi today (20).

Navy rescues 5 fishermen in distress
On receipt of information from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, the merchant vessel “MV Eternity” had rescued 5 Sri Lankan fishermen who were in distress in the seas 168 Nautical Miles off Little Basses Light House on 18th August 2016.
