Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University calls on Commander of the Navy
The newly appointed Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), former Chief of Defence Staff and former Commander of the Navy, Admiral (retd) Daya Sandagiri called on the present Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (20).

Four sea turtles were rescued by the naval personnel
Naval personnel attached to SLNS Thammanna located in Talaimannar in the North Central Naval Command, rescued the lives of 4 sea turtles that were entangled in a fishing net in the beach of Talaimannar on 18th June 2016.
