The “FLEET CO/XO HANDBOOK” compiled by Captain Aruna Tennekoon was launched at the Naval Headquarters today (17) and the first copy of the publication was offered to Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.

Navy renders assistance to extinguish a fire at coir factory in Puttalam
At the request made by Disaster Management Centre in Puttlam, naval personnel attached to SLNS Tambapanni located in Puttalam in the Northwestern Naval Area, managed to extinguish a fire that broke out at a coir factory in Madurankuliya area on 15th June 2015.

Commander of the Navy awards education scholarships for the children of naval personnel
Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, as the Chief Guest, presided over the ceremony which awarded scholarships aiming the educational needs of the children of naval personnel, at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake Auditorium, Naval Headquarters today (16).
