Commander of the Navy participates in the opening ceremony of Gangarama 'Buddharashmi Vesak Zone'
The 2016 Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zone of Hunupitiya Gangarama was ceremonially declared open by His Excellency the President Maithreepala Sirisena and the Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe at the temple premises on the Vesak Poya Day (21).

Due to the flood situation prevailed in Colombo and suburbs during last few days, the Canals which lead to the Kelani River were clogged with Salvinia and Garbage.
