On receipt of information, naval troops attached to SLNS Therapuththa of North Western Naval Command apprehended 51.5 kg of Kerala Cannabis floating in the seas of Mannar on 24th March 2015.

Naval personnel nab six local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
Naval personnel attached to SLN Dockyard arrested six local fishermen, along with a Fiber Glass Dinghy, engaged in illegal fishing in the seas off Kuchchaweli, Trincomalee on 23rd March 2016. During the arrest, two pairs of diving fins and a purse-seine net were taken into custody.

Three Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters
Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest three Indian fishermen along with an Indian fishing trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters North-West of Delft Island on 23rd March 2016.
