UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance (WGEID) calls on Commander of the Navy
The United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance (WGEID) headed by Vice Chair of the Working Group Mr. Bernard Duhaime called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 10th November 2015 and they had cordial discussions with the Commander of the Navy.

Two Japanese naval ships arrive marking their 50th port call to Sri Lanka
Two Japanese naval ships, "JS Makinami (DD-112)" and "JS Suzunami (DD-114)", which are en route for counter piracy operations off Somalia and the Gulf of Aden, arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 10th November 2015.

Naval troops recover 120 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis
On receipt of information, naval personnel attached to the North Western Command recovered 120 kilograms of cannabis (Kerala Ganja) concealed under a scrub in the Sawariyapuram area in Silawathurai on 09th November 2015.
