Lieutenant Commander Ruwan Premaweera presents first copy of his book to the Navy Commander
The first copy of the book titled “Gonapura Asiriya, ”a research book on historical places in the district of Trincomalee, written by Lieutenant Commander Ruwan Premaweera, was presented to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo on 14th August 2015.

Navy arrests 17 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
Naval craft on routine patrol attached to the Eastern Naval Command arrested 17 persons with 03 Fiber Glass Dinghies (FGDs) on the suspicion of their engagement in illegal fishing in the seas off Koneshwaram in Trincomalee on 14th August 2015.

At the final encounter of the Sri Lanka women’s Premier Division - I Cricket tournament 2015 between Navy SC and Air force SC held at the Colts ground on 13th August 2015, the Navy SC secured their victory easily with 06 wickets at hand.
