Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy on 10th July 2014 and called on Mahanayakes of Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters to receive blessings on his new appointment.
