Navy brings ashore another critically ill fisherman for treatment
Sri Lanka Navy brought ashore another critically ill fisherman and rushed him to hospital for treatment today (07th June 2021). The fisherman who was aboard a fishing trawler in seas about 85 nautical miles (about 157 km) southwest of Beruwala, had suddenly fallen ill and was in critical condition.

Thirty two (32) Navy relief teams engaged in flood relief operations
To provide relief to the people affected by floods in the Western, Southern and Sabaragamuwa Provinces due to heavy rains, Sri Lanka Navy has deployed 32 relief teams in flood relief operations in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle and Rathnapura. Meanwhile, the Navy teams continue to attend urgent relief operations focusing the flood affected communities today (07th June 2021) as well.

Navy seizes Kerala cannabis worth over Rs. 28 million in Nagarkovil
A special foot patrol conducted by the Navy in the beach area of Nagarkovil today (07th June 2021) led to the seizure of a stock of Kerala cannabis weighing around 96kg.
