Two tree plantation campaigns conducted by Navy in parallel with “Rata Wenuwen Ekata Sitimu” national programme

Two tree plantation campaigns, in parallel with His Excellency the President, Maithripala Sirisena’s “Rata Wenuwen Ekata Sitimu” national programme, were held in Navanthurai and Alaipiddi, Jaffna on 29^th August 2019.

The programme was organized by the Northern Naval Command in coordination with the District Secretariat of Jaffna and it was attended by Assistant Secretary to the President, Mayor of Jaffna, representatives from the Department of Coast Conservation, school children of Periyakulam Vidyalaya and Hindu College - Chavakachcheri, tri-service personnel and a large number of residents in the area.
