Navy arrests a drug trafficker

During a search conducted in Kudawella fishery harbour in Matara on 27^th June 2019, naval personnel and Police STF arrested a drug trafficker.

Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Southern Naval Command in coordination with STF personnel of Pattiyapola arrested this suspect who was identified as a drug dealer in the area. The arrested person is a resident of Tissamaharama, aged 24.

The suspect along with 100g of Kerala cannabis found in his possession was handed over to Tangalle Police for onward investigation.
