67th Navy Day Islamic religious ceremony
 

A special Islamic religious ceremony, organized in view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 67th anniversary that falls on 09 December, was held at the Jummah Masjid Mosque on Chatham Street in Colombo Fort today (29 November).

Blessings were showered on the Navy and naval personnel during the religious prayers that were attended by Director Naval Medical Services, Surgeon Rear Admiral Senarupa Jayawardana, Director General Services and Administration, Rear Admiral Muditha Gamage and Director General Personnel, Rear Admiral Sujeewa Perera.

Further, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Navy Muslim Association, naval personnel of Islamic faith and a large number of officers and sailors were also present on this occasion. The event had been organized by the naval personnel attached to SLNS Parakrama under the guidance of its Commanding Officer, Captain Anil Bowatta
