War veterans share their battle experience
 

A presentation on the battle experiences gained during the Humanitarian Operation was held at the main auditorium of SLNS Nipuna in Boossa yesterday (28 September 2017) with the participation of officers and sailors of the Southern Naval Command.

Naval battles fought under trying conditions notwithstanding the great risks involved, meticulously planned naval operations that brought great victories, heroic acts which saved not only one’s own life but also those of their comrades in the face of fierce enemy attacks and battle gains made utilizing their expertise and fighting skills in maritime, land and amphibious warfare were described in detail by SLN war veterans with a view to share their knowledge with others during the interactive session that detailed true heroism and un-paralleled bravery in the defence of the motherland.

The Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenna, senior naval officers, sailors and SLN personnel undergoing their training at the SLN’s Advanced Naval Training Centre were present to view the interactive presentation.
