Northern Naval Command conducts field medical clinic on Analativu
 

As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s community welfare project, a field medical clinic was conducted under the patronage of the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha de Silva at the Ayyanar preschool in Analativu Island on 24th September 2017.

337 patients including newly resettled civilians belonging to 538 families living on the Analativu Island benefited from the medical clinic of the Navy.

After screening for chronic non-communicable diseases, child health problems, oral/dental diseases, old age health problems and acute/chronic health diseases as well as ante-natal care and women health care, treatments were given at primary health care level.  All laboratory investigations and medicines were provided free of charge. The State Pharmaceutical Corporation and Triposha Lanka Ltd. also rendered assistance, providing medicines and nutritional supplements.
